“MAKING AN IMPRINT”
Pain is a serious epidemic in the United States.
Pain is one of the top reasons adults seek out medical care and results in diminished quality of life for its sufferers.
Opioid medications have long been prescribed to help people manage even chronic pain and live productive lives, this treatment still works!
Let Us Help!
Patients’ Advocates’ & Wellness (P.A.W.) Union’s amazing team of advocates and part-time volunteers are committed to empowering others.
We take our convictions and turn them into action, and achieve health equity in our communities through hands-on activism, empowerment, and advocacy!
Our members, volunteers, and advocates provide the momentum that helps our union affect change and provide solutions for patients battling Autoimmune diagnosis, Chronic Pain conditions, and other Chronic Illnesses.
Since 2019, P.A.W. has successfully used healthcare confidence to remove barriers to health equity & quality pain management!
Our energetic, nonprofit work and hands-on activism addresses the needs of those in our local communities and those battling chronic pain illness.
We continue to use healthcare confidence and speak to health equity in the form of representation for all groups overwhelmed with chronic pain diagnoses.

“P.A.W. Union has made a major impact in my life, has given me a voice, and my healthcare needs have been met like never before.
Before P.A.W. I thought my medical care was as good as it was going to get. Immediately through P.A.W. I was empowered by learning my rights, became more knowledgeable about my many diagnoses and of the care I deserve, and was given a voice.
I’m so thankful, when I’m lost and confused I can make a call to Jimella, who is Patients’ Advocates’ & Wellness Union’s director, and my personal advocate. Often doctors come in and overwhelm you with terms and information that you don’t understand.
Jimella helps calm me down and puts everything in a way that I can understand, she is so caring and compassionate, and has become like a mother-figure.
Too, when a doctor refuses to listen or won’t provide me with individualized care I instantly call Jimella. I know she’s gonna have all the real facts and is truly familiar with my case. I am very thankful for Jimella and to be a member of P.A.W., it makes life and battling Lupus a lot easier, and it lifts a lot of the stress that comes with dealing with our healthcare system.”
